Horse’s Name(if applicable): Captain Jack
Is the rider Chosen Yes, Claire Bryants
Age: Immortal, but appears 7 years
Color: Dapple Grey
Breed: Thoroughbred
Gender: Stallion
Personality: He is hot-blooded at times since he is doubly a Thoroughbred and a stallion but is normally gentle and a babysitter for little children. However, as soon as Claire gets in the saddle, he perks up and is eager to run and jump.
Jack is fast, since he is an ex-racehorse, and is competitive if Claire is running him alongside any other horses. Out in the pasture, he loves to run around and races other horses out of habit even if it is through the fence. He has problems with men, however. If a man or older boy comes up to him, the whites of his eyes show, and he prances or paws. Right when Claire had bought him, he even reared once or twice, almost hurting Claire in the process. He has gotten better being around Claire, however, and now he does not go far enough to buck, rear, or bite, but he will feel threatened by men.
He was never trained for a Western saddle, or any sort of extra weight, so Claire has no idea how he would do riding double. Claire also loves riding him bareback and without reins because his back isn’t as bony as other horses and he seems to run faster without anything restricting him or holding him back like reins or a saddle.
History (if known): Captain Jack was originally a racehorse before he was sold to a jumping facility that trained him for jumping and hunter classes. Unknown to Claire whether he was successful on the track, but was sold to her parents for $10,000, so she knew he was worth at least one or two wins...her parents never got to tell her the entire story with Jack, however, as they died before they could tell her everything, so the history on his life before Claire is fuzzy. Claire is trying to find the old owners of Jack, however, so she could hear the rest of the stories about her beautiful stallion.
