It has been 25 years since the Sardion was destroyed and the two Purposes of the Universe became one. In that time, much has changed. An uneasy peace has grown between East and West. But all has not been quiet.
Someone has managed to assassinate the Godslayer himself, in his citadel at Riva. Just as disturbing, Belgarath, Polgara, and the other Disciples of Aldur, have gone missing. A new evil is at work in the world and it is up to a new generation to discover who is behind this threat and how to stop it.
